This summer, 15 people are giving 5 weeks to cycle 1800 miles of the Underground Railroad – and it all begins in Mobile! Join us as we kick off 5 Weeks for Freedom in Mobile, AL, on June 26th.

This kick-off event will feature a performance by acclaimed recording artists The Wrecking, the 5 Weeks For Freedom riders, and a screening of the acclaimed documentary Call + Response – a film that brings together leading voices on slavery with musical performances from celebrated artists, with a lineup including Ashley Judd, Nicholas Kristof, Natasha Bedingfield, Switchfoot and more. You’ll hear directly from Sean Litton, IJM’s vice president of field operations – the leader of all of IJM’s frontline work to rescue victims of slavery, sex trafficking and other violence around the world. You’ll be equipped and inspired to take action in the fight against injustice.

Because slavery has been defeated once. Because it can be defeated again – Join us.

If you’d like to volunteer time and/or services for this event, please contact IJM at volunteer@ijm.org.
