I’m riding for girls like Luisa.*  She was raped by a neighbor in her impoverished community in Guatemala City – according to the U.N., an estimated one in five women and girls will be victims of rape or attempted rape in their lifetimes.   Luisa has a voice in court, because IJM attorneys are standing for her – - but there are many more girls and women who are trapped in silence and fear in the aftermath of abuse.  I want these sisters around the world to know hope and security – so that’s why I’m giving Five Weeks for Freedom.
